Central Bloc – Cebu IT Park’s refreshing

March 20, 2015 – Ayala Land, Inc. (ALI) continues its commitment to enhance land and enrich lives for more people as it broke ground for Central Bloc, its latest integrated mixed-use development in Cebu City.
With Central Bloc, Ayala Land reinforces its commitment of developing, masterplanned estates such as Makati Central Business District, Bonifacio Global City, and Cebu Business Park. Once completed, the stacked 2.2 hectare development will be composed of office, retail, and hotel components, all in the center of Cebu IT Park. ALI has invested close to P8 billion for this project.
“This is a landmark event in ALI’s history,” shared Bobby Dy, Ayala Land President and CEO during the groundbreaking ceremonies. He noted that Cebu City was the first area outside of Metro Manila where Ayala Land started developing mixed-use projects. Dy continued, “It highlights our commitment to support Cebu City.We envision Central Bloc to be a refreshing hub where business and leisure converge.”
The mall, with approximately 43,000 sqm. of gross leasable space is also set to open in the first quarter of 2018. Envisioned to be a refreshing and hip hangout, Ayala Malls Central Bloc will help make Cebu IT Park the hub of convergence for a younger and more active market segment.
Central Bloc connects to The Walk with a landscaped open area that also features dining and retail spaces, making sure that every pedestrian can easily access the rest of Cebu IT Park.
Seda, which won “Philippines Leading Hotel Group” in the “2014 World Travel Awards”, will open by Q3 2018. The 12-storey hotel will have 214 rooms and features a roofdeck bar. It is also the first Seda hotel to cater to long-staying guests with its 58 apartment suites.
